Concerts

Hot Soup, March 3rd, 2002

This was the Hot Soup concert held on Sunday, March 3rd, 2002, in Melbourne, Florida. I was the MC and the COD (Cow of the Day).

1-So that's where they keep the cows.
2 Little does he know what's sneaking up on him.
3 Oh, to be young again.
4 ACP (Another Cow Picture)
5 YACP (Yet Another Cow Picture)
6 To think that some people came just to see the cows.
7 "Down in front!"
8 Who is this extra cow anyway?
9 So, where's the ring in the nose?
10 Put your hands together for...
11 Maybe a young cow in training?
12 Pat and the Girls.

So, why cows anyway? Well, the band was singing their hit song (I want to be there...) "When the Cows Come Home." So, we came home.

Actually, I owe it all to my brother-in-law, Mike Lambert. He has this thing about cows. He collects cows of all ... well, stripes doesn't really apply. So, a couple of years ago, we drew names for Christmas, and he drew my name. My sister asked me what I wanted. I said "Well, I don't know." She said, "No, that's a bad answer. If you don't ask for something specific, you'll get a cow." So, I thought about the cow song, and how much I liked it, and how much I liked Hot Soup, and how I had been persuaded to borrow a cow costume at one of their previous concerts, and I said "Sure. I'll take a cow!" Well, he was tickled pink to actually find someone who wanted a cow. So, they went all out making good costumes.

Since then, I've had the opportunity to dance the cow at two Hot Soup concerts. At one, I actually managed to get Sue Ribaudo to wear the other cow costume. The lengths I'll go to to get Sue R. back on stage with the rest of the trio...
