CSE 4510-E1/5379-E1 Special Topics in CS/AI
Intelligent Systems and the Internet
TR 5-6:15pm (tentative;
would like to change it to T 5-7pm)
This is a seminar/reading group for discussing current ideas related to
Intelligent Systems and the Internet. Each week one person leads the
discussion on a paper related to the area. Papers/topics are selected
by the participants. Possible topics include:
- Web/news/internet user modeling
- Agents/softbots
- Agent-agent interaction
- Human-agent interaction
- Agent architecture
- Distance learning
- Conferencing/user interface
- Information retrieval
- Electronic commerce
This is open to all (students and faculty) who are interested.
Requirements for credits
- A summary of the paper(s) before each discussion
- A term project
- A mid-term paper (CSE 5379 students only)
Prerequisites for credits
- CSE 2001/2010/5020: Data Structures and Algorithms
- Proficient in programming
- Some knowledge of AI and Networks (a course in AI or Networks)
