TRIBAL VILLAGE WATER PROGRAM (TVWP)

2. Larger villages may have a "mandir" for the local deities. 6. The drilling machines arrives , crews begin their work and end the drilling joyously. 10. A temple to the Lord Ganesh, remover of obstacles, is included on the well site to add respect and sacredness to the village's clean water supply.
3.Village huts are made of sticks plastered with clay soil and cow dung. 7.People participate during the construction of the platform and installation of the pump. They supply labor and materials.Children love to help. 11. "Pooja" ceremony is performed at conclusion of the well construction and "Prasad" is distributed to the villagers.
4. TVWP gives priority to villages whose only water source are polluted rudimentary pits. 8. The completed pump, either a hand pump or a bucket pump is installed on the platform. 12. Finally, a villagers reap the benefits of their labor and the program's organization.
