Computing Research Objectives
Department of Computer Sciences
We have identified several areas of computing research
which have strategic importance for
Florida Tech,
the
College of Engineering,
and the
Department of Computer Sciences.
These fields of research are described in
Departmental Research Activities.
Within a few years, we expect research and scholarship activities
in the areas we have identified as our strengths to be:
- Recognized as superior among all colleges and universities that
concentrate in similar areas of research and scholarship;
- Capable of attracting the best and brightest into collaboration with
our faculty and students.
We recognize that certain outcomes must be established and measured
to determine if we are moving in the right direction and to alter
course if not.
