Departmental computing laboratories and research rooms are located in the F. W. Olin Advanced Engineering Complex.
The Department of Computer Sciences supports an open laboratory for the university community. The lab houses
Unix workstatations and Windows personal computer, some running Linux. The department's open lab is available to registered
students 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Key access may be requested through the university's Information Techonlogy Office.
The Department of Computer Sciences has an extensive collection of free software that it provides to new students. The department
is a member of the Microsoft Developers Academic Alliance, which allows the
department to provide many Microsoft products to students, such as Visual Studio, Windows and SQLServer. This software is available
via electronic download to registered CS Students @ MS Alliance.
